Mutant City Blues (2nd Edition)

In this run we tell the story of LICK, Inc., a team of private investigators with mutant powers. They’re called in to investigate a suspicious subway car fire, in order to prove that a man’s death wasn’t the result of a maintenance accident.

Mutant City Blues is by Robin D. Laws and Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan and published by Pelgrane Press. It uses Robin D. Laws’s GUMSHOE system for investigative RPGs.

What makes Mutant City Blues unusual among superhero games is the precision around what superpowers do and how they’re related. This allows the players (and their characters) to use logic and reasoning when confronted by evidence of superpower use.
